As they walked away from the crime scene, Dani and Edrisa pulled the wrapping from the lollipops that Malcolm had brought them.
“What flavor did you get today?” Edrisa asked Dani.
“Root beer.”
“Interesting.”
“You?”
“Cherry. Wanna switch?”
“No. I'm good.”
“Think if we were to combine the two, they'd taste like Dr. Pepper?”
“I'm not sure.”
“There's only one way to find out.”
“I'm not switching lollipops with you.”
Edrisa let out an exasperated sigh. “Okay, there are two ways to find out.”
The kiss tasted like cherries and root beer and the two of them all mixed together. Dani stepped away and smiled at Edrisa. “Well?”
It took Edrisa a moment to find her voice. “That tasted better than Dr. Pepper.”
“My thoughts exactly.”

Prodigal Son is a very good show if you like procedurals/psychological thrillers. While mostly a show about a father-son relationship, the women characters in it are pretty fun and fierce.
