you're both sat down against the railing on the school's roof, the sun setting over the horizon. moca's sat next to you, and she idly fidgets with the dyed-red strip in your hair. there's no trace of the smug, teasing expression she wears at school. you like it when she's like this. it's a side of herself she only shows around you.

the sunset envelops her in light. she's beautiful, more beautiful than you'll ever be able to tell her. you wish the two of you could stay here forever, melting into the sunset, skin bathed in gold, just gazing at each other.

"ran? you're staring. is something wrong?"

you tear your head away. "no. it's nothing."

she grins widely and puts a hand on your cheek, pulling you into a soft kiss. you smile against her lips.

for now, you'd just like things to stay the same as always.
